A New Era for Mirth^® Connect by NextGen Healthcare

On March 19, 2025, with the release of version 4.6, Mirth Connect transitioned from a dual license (open-source and commercial) to a single commercial and proprietary Mirth Connect licensing model.

What does that mean for you?

• Version 4.6 and all future releases are only available directly from NextGen Healthcare and authorized resellers.
• Source code will no longer be made available for new releases.
• All existing source code, release notes, upgrade guides, etc. will remain available on GitHub.
• We encourage you to check out the new, entry level license that includes the SSL Manager, Channel History, and Message Generator extensions and the new Mirth^® Command Center that allows you to manage multiple servers and channels from one web-based location.¹ For more information, contact mirthconnectsales@nextgen.com.
